Crow Head Walking Trail:
This trail connects with the Demonstration Forest Trail. 7km of scenic trail. View Keppel Island Lighthouse. [Learn More]

Demonstration Forest Trail:
The trail was built by students in summer programs in the past three years. The trail is a demonstration of the different types of trees that grow in Newfoundland.

Keppel Island Lighthouse:
This lighthouse was a kerosene burning lighthouse when it was first built in 1901. [Learn More]

Port Saunders Scenic Boardwalk:
This path offers a great walking trail as well as spectacular scenery.

Salmon Rivers:
Port Saunders is surrounded by three major salmon rivers all of which are within 10km of the town.

Waterfront Area:
Our tourists can count on incredible photo opportunities of our historical waterfront of individual fishing stages and wharves.

Port au Choix Historic Site:
Less than 30 minute drive

Torrent River Nature Park:
30 minute drive
Sitting on the edge of the mighty Torrent River, is the Nature Park and Campground. Picnic on the banks of the Torrent and enjoy the beautiful wildlife and scenery. [Learn More]

Torrent River Interpretation Centre:
30 minute drive
Descend into the underwater viewing chamber for a chance to stare a wild Atlantic salmon in the eye. Discover ongoing efforts to study and protect the Torrent’s valuable salmon stocks. [Learn More]

Gros Morne National Park:
2.5 hour drive
Waterfalls, marine inlets, sea stacks, sandy beaches, and colourful nearby fishing villages complete the phenomenal natural and cultural surroundings of Gros Morne National Park of Canada. [Learn More]

L'Anse aux Meadows Historic Site:
3 hour drive
Exhibits highlight the Viking lifestyle, artifacts, and the archaeological discovery of the site. Visitors can also explore the hiking trails to nearby bays and lakes. [Learn More]

Potable Water Dispensing Unit
The Water Dispensing Unit is located next to the Fire Hall.  Hours of operation:  Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.  This is a free service offered to residents of Port Saunders.

Monthly Town Meeting
Anyone requesting to have issues put on the agenda or requesting to speak at the monthly town meeting is required to submit a request no later than the Thursday evening prior to the meeting.
